VGA's

Any interest in them? Over the last couple of years I've only watched them for the reveals.

I was highly disappointed in this year's VGAs. The immature nature of the entire show really regresses gaming's image to industry critics. I cannot believe so much over-sexualization, cursing, and poorly-written dialogue permeated throughout the entirety of the experience. When you have Neil-Patrick Harris delivering porn jokes in front of millions, you've sunked to a new low. I won't watch the show anymore. I can just read a list of the winners later.

Spike had its grimey hands all over this Awards show and that is what hurt it. I can see the temptation to use this opportunity to cross-pollinate your shows and attempt to generate interest. But the tone of these other shows carried over and it really has no place in an Awards event attempting to garner credibility. Highly, highly disappointed.

Hello fellas. I totally agree with both of you. On one end, I am happy that developers are getting public recognition for their hard work. One the other end there were no standards or morals present at the awards. It seems like they were trying paint the image that gaming consist of just sex-crazed individuals who only indulge in bathroom humor. I think the best year for the VGA's was when Ken Levine won the award for Bioshock.

All in all I got what I needed. I wanted to see an Elder Scrolls V reveal and Mass Effect 3.. boom.

The rest I just tuned out.
