Mine is Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood too) and Trigun.

My favorite anime is Bleach. It's an ongoing series that adds layers of depth to a multitude of characters. The action is fantasticly excessive. Deathnote is a fantastic cerebral anime that any anime fan should watch.

Update: After you listed Dragonball Z as your favorite, my interest level soared OVER NINE THOUSAND! That was not my first anime experience (Ninja Scroll movie) but definitely the anime I was most exposed to. I have watched every episode of Bleach & Naruto (through Shippuden) and I like the action. Deathnote is a shining example of anime done right ("L-des!"). Here's my list, in order:

1) Deathnote: The most cerebral anime I've seen.
2) Bleach - Orihime, Kenpachi, Matsumoto, Byakuya & Kurosaki Ichigo - fantastic universe.
3) Dragonball Z - Some of the best fights in anime history
4) Naruto Shippuuden - A budding star positioned to overtake Dragonball Z in 25 more episodes.
5) Kateyko Hitman Reborn - Ended abruptly but was a good experience.

As I watch a lot of action anime, I prefer those to be dubbed in English so I can watch the action.

My Favorite anime is a toss up between Hajime Ippo, Trigun, Scryed, Also Gungrave and Beserker are really good too. Too many to chose from : o)
