[attachment=2]In my Target shopping evening I also picked up Mass Effect2 for $19.99 as well but I haven't unwrapped it yet. I wasn't a big fan of Mass Effect the original but I have been very interested in this version because everyone says it's the best game ever.

Should I open this game or should I take it to a retail store and get
$59.99 0r $39.99 for it towards another game?

If you take it to a retail store, the best you can get for it is $29.99. It is an awesome game but your experience is dependant upon which character class you choose based on your preferred style of gameplay.

If you want to cloak yourself and damage robots, there's a path for that. If you want to use biotic powers (like telekinesis) to throw and pull stuff, Vanguard may be for you. If you just like shooting stuff, soldier is the route you want to take. Call me if you get stuck before starting the game.

The most "meta" part about ME2 is if you have a finished save-file from ME, you can import your character and his/her face and decisions all carryover to the second game. That's doing what no console game has done this generation. At any rate, ME2 is a Game of the Year nomination for a reason chief. Just go in with a blank mind and go with the flow.
If you turn it in... big mistake.

This game is a lot easier to digest than the first version and the soldier class would probably be right up your alley.
Right now there a B1G1 free sale at Toy's r us. I planned on getting ME2 but before I get it I'm wondering if I should get the first game as well and start that since my decisions carry over to ME2. I tried the demo of ME2 and it's was cool since the character I made will go into the full game when I get it. Peace
